Today I met my littlest fan and his name is Topher (Sound like Tougher)…I was cruising around the Stuyvesant High School (I am a proud father of a son who is a student of this esteemed High School)..area..there was no one in that area (Sunday morning in Summer time is really a very bad time to find a passenger)..so I stopped in front of a building.
I saw a young couple with a little child came from the building….as soon as the little child saw me he started to scream…. “Taxi..Taxi..Taxi..” I lowered the window and his mother came and started to tell me how much he loves Yellow Taxi…I was very happy to see my littlest friend….screaming to come inside the cab.
I asked his mother to put him in the front passenger side and boy..! was he happy sitting there..he was touching all the things he could ..I had some sweet Sunkist orange slices (a sweet and tangy candy) and I asked his mother if I could give some to him. His mother was very happy to give him some of the orange slices. I have two grownup kids and I love kids. Remember in Mrs. Doubtfire movie when Robin Williams plead to the judge not to take his kids way from his life..he told the judge,” Your honor..please don’t take my kids way from me. I am addicted to my kids.” I am also addicted to my kids..that little boy brought back the memories,,why do kids have to grow up..? I wish…they were just that tiny again…
Topher was a very cute boy..he was having time of his life and it made me feel very happy…all good things have to end sometimes..so after few minutes of fun..the parents asked him to go with them but he did not even look at them as he was very busy with the control panel of the taxi…
They thanked me profoundly for allowing him to spend some times in the Taxi. They told me that for some odd reason Topher has a facination about Yellow Taxi…When he was carried away he was crying his hearts out…I felt a thin pain to let him go..
Look at the picture above,,he just does not want to go. After he was gone I could still hear his scream..No..no…Taxi..Taxi..
I was not feeling well all day long..I promised his parents that I will write about him…I hope you my friends..you liked Topher…my littlest fan.
Thank you again for reading my blog.
