Today I had a very nice young Mexican Photographer as my passenger to JFK Airport. Her name was Ms. Quetcalli. When she sat inside the cab she seemed to be a very young girl like 17/18 years old kid. So I was kind of thinking whether I should talk to her or not. I don’t really like to talk to a teenager as I don’t know what to talk about. As you already know my friends that I consider every passenger as a potential story.
So I observed her through the rear view mirror and that’s when I realized that she was not as young as I first thought.

As always I started to ask her questions and soon found out that she was actually 27 years old and came here with a TV journalist as a photographer. She came here with her journalist friend who was making a documentary about the Mexican people during and after the 9/11 World Trade Center Tragedy. They interviewed many Mexican People about the where about of them as well as their feelings about the tragedy.
She was a very soft spoken girl and I could not hear her properly from the back seat. So I asked her if she wanted to sit on the front which she happily obliged. She told me that she also had problem understanding me from a bit far way. She was happy to sit on the front passenger’s seat. She spoke OK English.
I started to show her the important buildings, bridges and other things like Park Ave … She told me that it was her 1st time in USA and New York City. She loved the city but she was not sure if she wanted to live in this big city as everything was so very big for her. I assured her that if she ever wanted to live her..she would feel very safe and secure and she will be able to get the hang of it in no time.
We talked about many things during the trip to JFK Airport…she was very inquisitive person who had interest about everything.
She was very happy to pose for me as I told her that I would put her in my blog. On the way of going way she gave me a big hug and she promised me that she would come back again as she liked the city.
I thanked her for her visit in New York City.
