Dear Friends…
I know I am not as regular as I used to be..so many things happened in last few months..things have changed..On December 2nd, 2011 I woke up and went to bathroom..while I was rinsing my mouth after brushing my teeth..I was surprised to see that I could not rinse my mouth..I was trying to let the water come out through the middle of my mouth but I noticed that water was coming out from the right side of my mouth. I looked up to the mirror that’s when I saw that lower part of my mouth was totally bent. I did not know what happened. I did not know what to do. I called my wife at her job and asked her to come home quick.

She came home running and took me to our primary doctor. We both thought that I had heart attack or stroke. The doctor assured me that it was not Heart Attack or Stroke after doing the ECG/EKG and was prescribed an Anti Biotic and a Steroid which is the only way to treat a patient for Belle’s Palsy.
So I was attacked by a Virus which went through my ear to my body and paralyzed my right side. She told me to take it easy as the healing process is very slow and frustrating..I have taken 4 months of Physical Therapy to rejuvenate my paralyzed nerves by using electric pulse..
In these last 6 months I lost my strength to fight off the physical deformation..but slowly I did get back about 80% of muscle movements and still a long way to go..but I am happier that slowly I am getting back my face.
So what happened to me during the last six months…?

On the early morning of October 28th, I tried to log into my meter and it did not accept my PIN to log in and start working..I could not call to VeriFone who was responsible for all kinds of meter related problems and they didn’t open till 9 in the morning. I had no idea what happened and why I could not start the meter. So the best thing was to do was just keep taking passenger and explain the situation. I knew the people of Manhattan are very reasonable and understanding.

So I kept working without the meter and explained the situation to few of my passengers and everyone paid me reasonably well. I called the VeriFone as soon as they were open at 9 a.m. I was told that my license was suspended but did not know the reason. I was also told to take the taxi back to the garage.

I dropped the Taxi off around 9.30 in the morning. And that’s it. I called the TLC to find out why my license was suspended and they did not know anything either.

That was the last day I drove Taxi and I don’t know when will I go back to driving…

I did not waste the whole time I was not driving..I got sick soon after I stopped driving…so what I did was went back to school to learn some new courses. I did some computer courses so that I wont have to drive taxi for the rest of my life. I only drove about year and half but it seemed eternity. Hopefully my new knowledge will help me to land a great job in IT industry.

Now I am looking for job..had few interviews and I am sure I will land a job very soon. Please pray for me. Thanks.
