      Welcome to YellowTAXIblog.com

I am a NYC yellow taxi driver who wants to create a blog site for the taxi drivers where taxi drivers will be able to express their views and share their stories. This blog is for everyone who wants to say something about the taxi drivers whether it is a complaint or a complement or a suggestion. I will protect the identity of the taxi drivers so that they can feel free without exposing themselves to the NYPD and TLC. I will help other taxi drivers in any way possible. Please give me information, I will make sure that the information will be published. Thanks for your support. Together we will fight against all kinds of injustice...

Thanks for visiting YellowTAXIblog.com

A story about a London Taxi Driver

Taxi drivers are basically very similar to each other No matter what country, what nationality, what race the drivers are from certain characteristics are universally present in every case.We may think that we are different but we are not in reality.. here is the story…
I got a British passenger from JFK airport to Manhattan. He was a young man who seemed to be very nice. I started to make a little chit chat with him and he was participating with me nicely. At one point he told me,” You won’t believe what happened to me few days before.” Naturally I wanted to know what happened…”You know 2 nights before I got in a London cab. I was going from postal code NW1 to postal code N 22 which was about 8 km …I did not have any cash with me so I told the driver,”Dude..could you please stop near a bank as I have to withdraw some cash..?”
He answered me in a very harsh and rude voice,” Don’t F***** call me a dude.” I was so shocked by his behavior that I was speechless…I immediately apologized but it was not enough. He told me that if I call him dude again he would f**** kick me out of his cab. It was totally uncalled for. I asked him if he could get the cash from the bank. The passenger said that the driver was OK with that and he stopped in front of a bank..it was the Dude he did not like. The passenger told me that he already complained to the cab company but he knew that nothing would happen to the driver. Any way he said that he loved cabs in NYC. Friends…remember my earlier post where I said that British people are the cheapest…well…. he was a gentleman who gave 20% tips.
There you go my friends…as I was saying before that same kind of behavior sometimes shown by New York City cab drivers. One of the incidents I already wrote about in a post called,” Please do not treat your passengers badly,”… so friends..please treat your passengers with utmost respect and in return the passengers will treat you exactly the way you want to be treated. Never give any passenger a chance to feel bad about you, remember you are the ambassador of our beloved city every time you pick up a passenger. Make sure you represent the city the very best way possible. Thank you very much for your support.
