Dear Friends, Thank you so very much for being the part of my blog, the www.yellowTAXIblog.com. I am a well educated, well versed yellow taxi driver who happened to choose this profession from last one year because of all the misfortunes I had gone through. I had a great job..I lost it due to the downsizing on the beginning of the downturn of the economy. Then I made another mistake which is buying a Verizon Franchise and that was the worst decision I ever took. I lost a huge some of money on the business and a big portion of the money was borrowed from my friends and family. So here I am doing what all of you have been doing all along. And I want you to know that I wholeheartedly respect all of you for your ever thankless wonderful service to the people of new York City. I understand that many of you are from other countries who came here to have your American dream like everyone else in this great country so English might not be your primary language and there are some chances for a little misspelling, a bit not so perfect English but don’t worry..that’s why I am here and my sole purpose for this blog is to help all the taxi drivers anyway I can. You just write and give me all the information you can get about your thoughts and I will make sure that those will be translated into a perfectly written English. You can write about..say.. – An interesting passenger – A very generous passenger – A very rude passenger – A very bad experience – A passenger who did not pay – A bad Police or TLC officer – How did you get a ticket – Where did you get a ticket and so many subjects. Don’t worry, You don’t have to give me your name or hack number or even Medallion number. I don’t need any information which can expose you to the Police dept or TLC. I will not accept any information regarding your identity. All I need is your email address so that you can reconfirm your email address. Friends, whenever you find a Police or TLC officer is not treating you with utmost respect, please remember that officer’s name and as soon as you can ..just write down the name and the car number so we can publish it here with the name. If we can collect enough names about the bad cops and TLC officers..hopefully someone will notice from the media and will do some kind of report and hopefully we will be able to take some action against them. But please remember friends a very high number of Police and TLC officers are very cordial to the Taxi drivers and they are doing their job. Please do not mix up good cops with bad cops. And please do not break any rules and laws on the street so that you will never be stopped in the first place. Follow all the rules and laws on the street. Never cut each one off to get a passenger. There will always be passengers on the street so if you are one the middle lane and a passenger you spotted on the right is waiting for a cab raising her hand..don’t just try to go to the extreme right because there could already be another of your cab driver friend trying to go to her. By making a sudden turn you not only increase your chance to have an accident from 2 right lane, you also take food way from one of your fellow driver. Who knows what might have happened. If you have an accident ..your whole day will be gone..the other unsuspecting cars could have passengers and they could get hurt..even die..So let me ask you my friends..is it worth the aggravation for a $5 dollar trip..And KARMA says if you do bad things to others..bad things will happen to you. So respect everyone including your fellow cab drivers.
