This is called KARMA

Where do we go..who do we complaint..when a motorist is pulled over by a Police officer just look at the way he/she approaches..granted that the officer has no way of knowing who he/she stopped and he/she has all the right to save him/herself from anyone unknown. But when a NYPD Police Officer (are they even officer..? I don’t think so..at least that’s what is my experience..) stops a yellow cab he/she knows who is on the driver’s seat..we are not unknown to them but still they come with the same mentality as if we are already criminals.

There are more than 13000 licensed Yellow Taxi drivers in any given moment on the street. The total numbers of drivers are more than 50000 I guess. I can bet with my life that no driver..I repeat no drivers has clean license. The sun may comes up on the west and sets on the east but you would not find a single drivers who drives 6 days/nights a week for minimum of 72 hours has no ticket. This is how the whole system works..the super aggressive NYPD who are basically against Yellow Cab drivers issues tickets for any reason..

In fact I would say Yellow Taxi drivers get tickets for no reason at all. Yellow Taxi drivers are the easiest prey on the street. We don’t react..we just accept the inhuman treatment given by the NYPD every single day on the road. I got 3 tickets in last two weeks and I can tell you my friends this shows how nakedly aggressive the NYPD Police Officers are. I am so mad that I don’t want to call them officers..so from now on I will call them as Police Agents..I know the word Agent has somewhat negative meaning or negative attributes to it but I could not find a better descriptive word than this.

Let me explain how did I get those tickets…

I had a passenger who was going from 15th St and 8th Ave to 36 St and Broadway. The passenger told me to go straight up to 36th St and make a right turn on 36th St and go to Broadway and I followed his direction. I stayed on the 2nd lane from the right
but could not make the turn from the 2nd lane (remember 1st lane has car parking) because there was a big trailer unloading boxes from the trailer. So I changed the lane from 2nd to 3rd lane which is basically the middle lane and made the turn.

I was not the only one making the turn..in fact there were at least five to six cars passed before I made the turn. About half way down I was stopped by a very heavy, huge Police agent. He was so heavy ( I am sure he would not be less than 350 lbs..and I wonder how does he do his duty..I know hundreds of jelly donuts and sitting in an air conditioned police car can not go unpunished..) that I was feeling sorry for him and it seemed that he was so happy to stop me because I am sure he will have a heart attack if he has to run after criminals…heck.. he himself is a criminal.

He is a criminal legally employed by the New York City. So I asked him why did he stop me..and my passenger was so surprised and disgusted by the whole thing..he started to curse the Police and the kind of words he was shouting at the officer (of course he was sitting in the car and cursing..) that even I was blushing. So the Police told me that I made the right turn from the 3rd lane. I said, ” Of course officer because there is a big trailer unloading on the 2nd lane and why did you singled me out when I was the last one ..why didn’t you stop all the others..?”

He did not answer me as usual and asked me my license and rate card. The Police was far way from the corner so he had no idea that there was a big truck unloading so I told him to go and check but he went to sit in his car instead..I know he was so tired by only raising his hand to stop me that he had to sit for a while before he could write a ticket. My passenger asked me a piece of paper and wrote on the paper that this police was totally abusing his power and he singled me out for being a yellow cab.

When he came back to me after sitting in his car he handed me 2 tickets and I was totally shocked that he gave me another ticket for failing to yield the pedestrian. I even told him that since I was the last one ..there was no one crossing the lane…but he did not even listen. I could not even read his hand writing ..I am sure he was not even high school graduate or even if he was a high school graduate, he must have got one of those special cases where the city wanted him to graduate under minority rules. I could tell you my friends he was a bully in his school.

What an illiterate piece of..you know what.. He robbed my almost one week of earning and 4 points from my license. This guy will pay for it and he will pay it with his health. There is something called KARMA and no one ..is immune from that. Nature has a strange way of taking care of things my friend. So you do bad thing..bad thing will happen to you and your family. Nature’s fury is brutal and it does not afraid of any rowdy Police or even the most powerful man in the city.
