Another bad experience with a cab driver…Part 2

NYC Yellow Taxi

Ever since I started to ask my passengers about their worst cab riding stories, I found out that a very high numbers of passengers have no bad experience with a cab driver and that shows that with dew exceptions all the cab drivers are doing great job transporting passengers one place to another. Here is another bad experience…

This young and beautiful girl got in my cab from downtown area and wanted to go to Bloomingdale’s in 59th St and Lexington Ave. So I took FDR drive north and stated to drive up. I asked her if she had any bad experience and she jumped out of her cab and said..”O my god..that was exactly I was thinking before got in to your cab.” I sensed a great story and told he what happened..she started to tell me…

” Just yesterday ( it was Monday) I got into this cab to go to my friends apt. in the village. This cab driver was a young man in his 30s and to my surprise he was a white dude…because I never seen any white dude drive yellow cab before..he seemed to be very nice..but as he was driving ..he was making some small talk with me and I was answering him accordingly.

He told me that he lost his job recently and his girl friend left him because of that. I did not know what to answer him so I did not say anything … in one point he told me to take his number and that moment I told him that I did not want his number and I told him that he was making me uncomfortable. He told me that he had a great motor bike and he wanted me to go out with him in his motor bike. I was feeling very uncomfortable but stayed mum. I was relieved when he stopped after he reached the destination.

I paid him and when I was trying to open the door..he told me he would not open the door if I don’t agree with his offer to ride with him and go out with him. I was so scared that I started to scream at him and start hitting on the door. He just took off and I was not prepared for it so I almost hit my head on the roof. He zoomed way to but had to stop on the red light..when I saw his both hand was on the steering I tried to open the door and it opened..so I just ran way leaving the door behind open…He did not come after me though. I looked back and he was gone. I was never so scared in my life.”
I asked her if she remembered the cab number she told me that it never came into her mind as she was trying to get away from him.
Then she told me that she would never take any cab with a white driver because with Indian or Bangladeshi cab driver she never had any problem and she was sure that she would never have problem with other driver.
I think that driver is a criminal and he was lucky that she did not remember his cab number. He should be in jail.
