Dear friends..today I am very mad…I am mad because I had a flat tire at the very end of my shift while I was about to drop my last passenger. I saw the pothole from about 15 feet away but could not do anything because the left had side had the new bike lane and the new islands. When I saw that pothole I tried to steer right but there was a big truck and it happened in a split of a second that I just ran over it and sure enough the right side front tire just ran over on it and you guessed it right ..had a flat..in fact the tire had a big hole in the middle.

It was 3.37 p.m. and that was my last passenger. What a drag..not only I got stuck there..I blocked the other traffic to go through. People started to honk and finally I tried to move the car and slowly moved the car so that the traffic can pass by. I called my night shift driver and he told me to slowly go to the next tire shop to put the spare tire on so that I can drive back to the garage to get a new tire.

I did call the garage to send me a tow truck but from my experience I knew that it would be at least 4 hours to have the tow truck come and take me back. I slowly started to drive to the tire shop..it took me about 15 minutes to go there and then the spare was put in 5 minutes. I gave the guy who was changing the tire a $5 dollar tip and he was very happy.

I came back to pick up my night driver after trip to the garage and changing the tire. Those tires are very expensive as I was told by the technician that that was a $300 dollars tire.

Snow has gone by more than a month before and the whole new York City is full of potholes. The potholes and scrapped roads are more visible on the streets than avenues. I never have seen such a bad condition of the roads in New York City. I think both Mayor, Sadik Khan should be FIRED for failing to fix the roads of new York City. This is no third world town it the the New York City, the capital of the world and both of them have no rights to be in power. So Down with Mayor Pinocchio Bloomberg and Down with Sadik Khan.
So Mr. Pinocchio is our Pothole King of the World.
