Dear Friends…I was trying to find a cartoon for Police issuing Ticket but ended up finding this cartoon and I think this is the best portrait of today’s NYPD under our “beloved(you are right)” self elected public rejected Mayor Bloomberg. You may notice that I don’t say anything against our NYPD Police Chief. That’s because he just follows the order of the mayor.
Anyway the description of the cartoon says..“Swine flu…A form of influenza caused by overly aggressive pigs (also known as NYPD..New York City Police Dept.) that occurs commonly after close encounters with these infectious vermin.” I couldn’t have said it better.
I took my last passenger from upper west side to Wall Street area and I asked her if she wanted me to take any particular route and she told me to take 96th St Transverse to 5th Ave and then take FDR South from 96th St and 1st Ave. I don’t like to take 96th St across because it is always traffic jam there ever since the Second Ave Subway construction started. And the Traffic agents always issue tickets. So when I was close to 3rd Ave I saw a long traffic jam downhill.
So I waited being the first one on the red light. The light turned green..then yellow..then red..then green..then yellow…then red. I still waited to move forward. All the other cars behind me were honking but I did not move. I saw 5/6 Traffic Agents were gossiping on the south east corner of 3rd Ave. And I knew exactly why those Sharks, legally employed robbers were there…they were there to give tickets specially to Taxi drivers.
So when the light turned green for the 4th time, I saw that the traffic started to move other side and when I was sure that there were at least room for 3 cars then I started to move. All of a sudden I saw all of the sharks started to make move. As if they saw their victim and sure enough two of them came and stopped me just before the walkway and told me and the cab after me to move over and stop on the right side of the road.
I asked the officer why did he stop both of us. He told me that I was obstructing the traffic. I told him that if he did not stop us we could have already been on the safe area. But he did not listen to me. My passenger who was a professor of Architecture in Columbia University even told the officer that I waited 4 lights before I moved but a shark does what he wants. I got a ticket. The other cab driver also got a ticket.
My question is is there no one to oversee this kind of unjust…? Is there no one to save us from this sharks and this mayor..? I told you my friends that nature has a very strange way of taking care things. All those sharks will pay before they go way from this world. Good night.
